Box sliding down ramp

This applet shows a box at rest at the upper end of a ramp. The coefficient of friction and angle of the ramp are adjustable. If the acceleration is positive, clicking the animate button shows the box accelerating down the ramp. The time required for the box to reach the bottom is constant; the real time that would have been needed is shown on the graphic. That is, the time variable is scaled to the travel time. The critical angle, i.e., the "angle of repose," is Arctan(mu).
