Accumulation

Riemann Sums

Another major idea of Calculus is integration. Most integral applications start from taking something, such as area under the curve, dividing it into smaller and smaller slices, and then accumulating the area of all the small slices. The Bible has many things to say about accumulation. One is to be careful where you try to accumulate and what you try to accumulate. Matthew 6: 19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Another is that there is no need to accumulate worry. Matthew 6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
