In the figure, CD is bisecting angle ACB. Drag points A, C, and B around. What do you notice about the lengths of the segments that are shown? Go back and review your work for Problems 1 and 2 that were due on Monday (angle bisector in a triangle...). You were ultimately asked whether the proportion that was given was in fact true. As you drag points around, is that proportion maintained? You will have to put a pencil to paper and evaluate this. What do you notice as the triangle becomes more or less isosceles?
