Identifying the Type of Isometry

Identifying the Type of Isometry

In this activity we are given a preimage triangle ABC (blue) and a congruent image triangle A'B'C' (red). We are trying to determine what single isometry will map Triangle ABC to Triangle A'B'C'. We want to not only identify the type of transformation, but we want to identify the defining characteristics of that specific transformation. If it is a translation, then we want to find the translation vector. If it is a reflection, then we want to find the mirror line. If it is a rotation, then we want to find the center and rotational angle. If it is a glide-reflection, then we want to find the mirror line and vector.
