Slope-intercept form formula
The slope intercept form formula is the equation used to describe the slope and location of a line. The equation is stated as y=mx+b where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept. In order to solve this equation you would multiply the slope by the x value and then add the y-intercept to the product of the two. this will give you the y value that is located on the x value that you plugged in. Say the slope of a line was 3/5 and the y-intercept was 9. If you plugged in 7 as the x value you would get 13 and 1/5. How you would get this is shown below.
