Vector Components

One way of trying to understand vector components is to think of a large box being pulled by a rope. Part of the force is lifting the box and part is pulling the box.
- Use the slider to change the value of the vector, v.
- Move the blue dot to change the angle between the vector and the horizontal.
- Calculate the components and then check your answers.
