Exploring Modifiable Triangular Prisms in GeoGebra AR

Here's how you can virtually explore an easily modifiable triangular prism within GeoGebra Augmented Reality on GeoGebra's 3D Graphing Calculator on your non-iOS device. Before you start, make sure your device is set up to use GeoGebra Augmented Reality. To set up your device quickly and easily, see the directions within this resource (up to step 2). Directions: 1) Open up GeoGebra's 3D Graphing Calculator app on your device. 2) Press on the 3 horizontal bars (upper left). Select OPEN. 3) To virtually explore a triangular prism with triangular base that is RIGHT or ACUTE, type j6xVky5C in the search bar. (Code = case sensitive). Select what appears. To virtually explore a triangular prism with triangular base that is OBTUSE, type nvv4pcs6 in the search bar. (Code = case sensitive). Select what appears. 4) With the triangular prism showing on your screen, press the AR button (lower right). Follow the directions that appear. Once you see the yellow triangulated floor appear, tap on it. This will now give you something that looks like what you see in the screencast below. If you scroll up in the algebra view (below) all the way to the top, you should see the sliders that allow you to control various parameters. Have fun exploring!
