Maurer Rose

Shonk had a nice animation of a Maurer Rose today. http://flotsam.sellingwaves.com/post/111342483611/maurer-rose How many cool math things are there out there of which I have yet to hear? The amount of variation possible is truly stunning. Thankfully, Jennifer Silverman had just shared how to graph polar points, (r; θ). The rose is the graph connecting the points (sin(n*d*i);d*i), d in degrees, i from 1 to 360. (Although that will often repeat, of course.)
