The Basic Matrix Transformations

The columns of transformation matrix T are controlled by points A and B. Point A controls the first column. Point B controls the second column. Drag points A and B to and observe what happens. Drag points A and B to illustrate the following transformations:
  • A reflection in the x-axis.
  • A reflection in the y-axis.
  • A reflection in the line y=x.
  • A reflection in the line y=-x.
  • A counter-clockwise quarter-turn around the origin.
  • A clockwise quarter-turn around the origin.
  • A half-turn around the origin.
