What to memorize in this section

Calculations must always be done in the same order. The Order of Operations: (BODMAS) 1.    Brackets and fractions 2.    Exponents, Indices and roots 3.    Of 4.    Multiplication and Division 5.    Addition and Subtraction
    Strategy to follow when we do basic calculations: 1.  We need to calculate the inside of the brackets first and simplify fractions. 2.  We can then move on to exponents or indices and the roots. 3.  If there is an ‘of’ in the problem this has to be done next. Remember " of " means  multiply. 4.  Multiplication and Division. 5.  Lastly addition and subtraction.
