The end behavior of polynomial functions are predictable. To examine the effects of changing an even and an odd exponent, select the check box you would like to examine. Move the slider to a larger exponent and observe the end behavior of each type graph. Notice that each graph passes through the point (1,1). All even powered functions pass through the points (1,1) and (-1,1). All odd powered functions pass through the points (1,1) and (-1,-1).
