In this exercise, we have a garage's door represented by the segment XY. When you move the point X, the point A slides over a vertical guide segment, BD. We have AC = BC = CY = 0,5 m and AX = 1 m.
TASKS: a) If the point X is 0,2 m from the vertical guide segment, how long is the distance from C to the same segment? b) Conclude that the high of the point Y is always the same, regarding the door's movement. c) If the car's bumper is 0,4m from the floor, as ilustrated by the figure, how minimal long should be between the bumper and the vertical guide line in order they don't crash?
