Logistic Model

Use the sliders to adjust the values of A, C, and k. Pay attention to the relationship between these values and the point of inflection. The red curve is the corresponding exponential growth curve with growth constant k. Note the logistic versus exponential populations at various times - when does the exponential population reach double the logistic population? To change the viewing window, hold the shift button and left-click to drag the graph or use the scroll wheel to zoom in/out. You can also adjust the axes by holding the shift button and left-click on the axis you want to change.
