Creating a cube

Create groups rectangular prisms.

Using the values your group had for your rectangular prism in put row,(length); column;(width), Layer(height). Click show answer, this will show you the area of your first 2d shape, and the volume of your second 3d shape. Using the same method find the other groups areas of their 2d and 3d shapes. Values for length, width and height on board.

Area of combined shapes

Now you have found the area of all the shapes, how many cm is the total area taken up by all the shapes? What is the total height of all the shapes stacked on top of each other? What is the length of the all shapes stacked on top of each other? What is the length of all the shapes put next to each other length ways? Discus with partner and when you are sure you have all of the answers, inform teacher.
