Lengths of Segments, Part 1
1. You are going to play a game. Use 1, 8 and 5 to make the coordinates of two endpoints of a line segment. The line segment must be parallel to either the x-axis or y-axis. The person who makes the longest segment between their two points wins.
Drag points to make segments with the coordinate pairs you came up with. Check their lengths and see which coordinate pairs produce the longest segment.
