A plot of the diffracted field, from a cosinusoidal amplitude grating. f(x) is the field phi(s). g(x) is the intensity. 'a' represents the wavelength of the cosine function in the grating. You can adjust 'a' by moving the slider. At small values of 'a' the field resembles a sinc function. At large values of 'a' the field resembles a double delta.
