Special Quadrilaterals

Traperzoids

A trapezoid is a quadrilateral with only one set of parallel sides.

Not trapezoids

have more than one set of parallel sides more than 4 sides

Kite

A kite is a quadrilateral is a quadrilateral whose four sides can be grouped into two pairs of equal length sides that are adjacent to each other

NOT a kite

there are no parallel sides

Parallelogram

a four sided figure rectangular figure with opposite sides parallel

NOT a parallelogram

only has one set of parallel sides more than 4 sides that are not parallel

Rhombus

A rhombus is a parallelogram with opposite equal acute angles, opposite equal obtuse angles, and four equal sides  a parallelogram with equal sides including a square

NOT a rhombus

No parallel sides no equal sides all the sides are not parallel and equal

Rectangle and Squares

Squares and Rectangles are parallel, equilateral, and equiangular

NOT a square or rectangle

only has one of the 3 qualities needed to make up the figure
