Rigid motion and constraints with parametric curves and vectors. Slumberland's current approach: Begin with physical problems involving motion. Solve them geometrically. Translate the geometric constructions to vectors. Simplify. If I need only the parametric equation, that is easy to get from the vectors. To retain additional elements of the physical problem, I can just back up to an earlier step. Solution to a physical problem leading to an astroid: http://www.geogebratube.org/material/show/id/33260
