In this application, we will learn more about translations.
Below, you can adjust c, to change the function. You can also push "switch function", to cycle through the 5 functions. Try it out, and then answer the questions below.
These transformations are also called translations.
Question 1: What effect does the constant "c" have, when c>0, when y=f(x) is transformed to y=f(x-c)? Be specific!
Question 2: What effect does the constant "c" have, when c<0, when y=f(x) is transformed to y=f(x-c)? Be specific!
Note: Be careful, we are considering f(x-c). So, you normally do the opposite direction!
