Interpreting Correlation - the effect of rescaling (2.02d)

This applet is designed to explore the relationship between re-scaling a data set and the strength of correlation. Note: text/symbols displays better if downloaded.

In contrasts to the previous applet (Interpreting Correlation(2.02d)) in this applet you can't move individual data points but you can re-scale the data on separate axis or both at the same time. It demonstrates that although re-scaling effects the co-variance it has no effect on the correlation coefficient. Hence correlation is independent of the units used to record a data set.
