Least Squares Regression Line.

Use this sketch to explore the creation of the Least Squares Regression Line. Five points are given and are dynamic. Use the checkboxes to show the slope and intercept of a line. Use the checkbox to activate the squares for each data point. Move the slope and intercept to try and make the sum of the areas of the squares as small as possible. Use the Sum of Squares checkbox to see visually how the sum is changing, try to minimize it. Finally, use the calculated regression checkbox to see how close your line is to the real LSRL.
