Unit 1

1) The measure of an angle is 5 more than six times its supplement. a. How many angles are there? b. What are the angles' relationship? c. Find the measure of the largest angle. Answer: I first found x by using the equation x= 5+ 6(180 - x). I simplified the equation by using distributive property, then I combined like terms, next I used addition property of equality, and finally I used division property of equality. I got x =155. This problem has two angles. The two angles have a relationship because they supplement each other. Of the two angles, angle x (which equals 155) is the largest angle.
