Transformations
Play around with this enough, and you will understand transformations.
Notes:
- Enter any parent function you like in the input box for f(x).
- Transform f by using the sliders.
- The point P maps to the point P' under the transformation. You can slide P along f or animate P with the play button.
- The option to restrict the domain of f is meant to help you understand if the transformation is affecting x- or y-values (or both). If you check the box to restrict the domain of f, GeoGebra will restrict the domain to the interval (x_i, x_f).
