Rotation

A rotation is when a figure is moved about a fixed point called the center of rotation. Each vertex of the figure must move the same degree and direction; therefore making each point equidistant from the center point. A few examples of rotations are: a door opening, a merry go round spinning, and a windmill spinning. In the example above the polygon is rotated 180 degrees clockwise about point K.
