Creating a Parabola

First, begin by dragging the slider labeled "a". Do you recognize this shape? Have you seen it before? Write down some important features of this graph on your piece of paper.
Now, turn off the slider for point "A". After, start to play with each slider one at a time. Once you have set the slider you have chosen, turn "a" back on. Dragging "a" will create your graph for each. Do you notice an effect that each slider has on the graph? Write down all of your observations.
