Properties of Parallelograms Part 2

In the first part of this activity you played with the parallelogram by moving its vertices and made some notes about what you noticed and what you wondered. Now, you will play with another parallelogram and make some conjectures below.

What do you notice about the opposite sides of the parallelogram?

What do you notice about its consecutive angles?

What do you notice about its opposite angles?

What do you notice about its diagonals?

Can you create a parallelogram that is a counterexample to any of your conjectures above? Provide justification why or why not?

Using your answers above, create a list of the properties of all parallelograms. Make sure to add that opposite sides are parallel, a property you learned way back when.
