9. Art and Math

Some people might think that there exists little to nothing in the intersection of the Venn Diagram representing the worlds of Art and Math, but those people would be wrong.  For example, while my major in college was math, my minor was art.  The image here depicts a "mathematician trapped by the conventions and logic of mathematical reasoning," according to the artist of the piece, Mary Rounce Field.  Perhaps you've felt the same way...  Anyway, my question is:  Just how mathematically accurate is Mary's art?  Is the graph truly parabolic?  Is the latus rectum in its correct position?  Is it even the right color?  Use a text box below to draw your conclusion in at least one grammatically correct sentence.
