The Chaos Game

The Chaos Game

The goal of "The Chaos Game" is to land in the green triangle. You begin with the black point at the lower right ("green" corner) of the triangle. Each time you select one of the buttons "Red", "Blue" or "Green" you obtain a new black point located halfway between the previous point and the vertex of the selected color. Land a black point in the green triangle with as few steps as possible. The black point must lie *inside* the green triangle - on the boundary doesn't count! If you don't see a green triangle (this may happen when first increasing the level), click on the "New Target" button. Practice until you can win routinely in the fewest number of steps! This activity is based on a Java applet of the same name by Robert Devaney.
