Calculating Height with Trigonometry

Drag the position slider to reposition the surveyor's distance from the building. Drag point Q to adjust the line of sight and measure the angle of inclination to the part of the building for which the height is being measured. Use right triangle trigonometry to calculate the height. The height of the transit/scope is 4 1/2 feet. You must include this in your final calculation. Afterwards check your answer by clicking the checkbox to Show/Hide Answer.
