In de equidistante azimut projectie worden de breedtegraden afgebeeld als concentrische cirkels waarvan de omtrekken telkens op gelijke afstanden van elkaar liggen.
Deze projectie wordt gebruikt in de officiële vlag van de VN, die in 1946 goedgekeurd werd.
In the equidistant azimuthal projection the latitudes are projected as concentric circles with perimeters at equal distances from each other.
This projection is used in the official UNO flag, approved in 1946.
