This book introduces the concept of geometric transformation as rule associating to each point another point.
The first chapter introduces the concept and presents 4 examples of geometric transformations. These are: translation, reflection, rotation, and dilation. These are the transformations more used.
The 4 examples guide to classify the geometric transformations in 2 classes: the transformations preserving distances and transformations not preserving distances. The transformations preserving distances are called isometries.
