An illustration for related rates. The volume of a cylinder is πr^2h. The volume of a partially filled sphere is πrh^2-πh^3/3 The volume of cone-shaped flask is...crazy! One way is (π/3)(R^2+Rr+r^2)h. We figure out how to calculate those things later in integral calculus!
