Esta obra apresenta uma investigação aprofundada sobre a modelagem geométrica dinâmica, utilizando o símbolo do Yin Yang como unidade fundamental de simetria para explorar a transição entre o plano e o espaço tridimensional. Por meio de onze construções desenvolvidas no GeoGebra 5, o trabalho estabelece uma progressão didática que parte da construção euclidiana elementar, atravessa os princípios da óptica geométrica e culmina na parametrização avançada de poliedros regulares.
O foco central reside na interatividade investigativa, na qual o estudante deixa de ser um observador passivo para tornar-se manipulador de variáveis, compreendendo como funções algébricas e comandos de geometria sólida coordenam simultaneamente a estética e a integridade estrutural das formas em um sistema de coordenadas R³. Trata-se de um convite à descoberta da arquitetura invisível que sustenta o equilíbrio visual, configurando uma transição filosófica e matemática em que o símbolo milenar do Yin Yang atua como guia na exploração das leis do universo geométrico.
Essa síntese conceitual é antecipada já na própria capa da obra. Um fundo negro profundo e aveludado evoca a vastidão do espaço tridimensional e o conceito de vazio que será explorado ao longo do percurso. Sobre essa escuridão absoluta, um icosaedro regular aninhado dentro de um dodecaedro surge em estrutura de arestas luminosas. O dodecaedro externo resplandece em um azul-ciano sutil, enquanto o icosaedro interno vibra em magenta suave, estabelecendo uma tensão cromática que sugere dualidade e complementaridade.
Nas faces triangulares do icosaedro, a dualidade se transforma em matriz. Cada face funciona como um orifício platônico vazado cujo contorno não é circular, mas moldado pela adaptação precisa do símbolo Yin Yang ao triângulo. As porções “escuras” do símbolo são verdadeiros vazios que revelam o fundo negro, enquanto as partes “claras” irradiam uma luz que transita entre o branco puro e o âmbar quente, criando a impressão de matéria luminosa cristalizada. Uma fonte de luz invisível parece incidir do canto superior esquerdo, atravessando as faces vazadas e projetando, no plano inferior direito, uma trama fluida de Yin Yangs distorcidos e sobrepostos. Essa projeção sintetiza visualmente a passagem do volume tridimensional à superfície bidimensional. No canto inferior esquerdo, uma sequência discreta de quatro círculos revela a gênese plana do símbolo, desde a circunferência simples até a forma completa, como marcas construtivas que ancoram toda a complexidade à simplicidade inicial. A leve sugestão de rotação do icosaedro, indicada por rastros translúcidos de suas arestas, antecipa a dimensão cinética que atravessa a obra.
A capa, assim, não é mera ilustração, mas condensação simbólica do percurso: a fusão entre a rigidez dos poliedros regulares e a fluidez orgânica do Yin Yang, entre luz e vazio, entre plano e espaço.

This work presents an in-depth investigation into dynamic geometric modeling, using the Yin Yang symbol as a fundamental unit of symmetry to explore the transition from the plane to three-dimensional space. Through eleven constructions developed in GeoGebra 5, the project establishes a didactic progression that begins with elementary Euclidean construction, moves through the principles of geometric optics, and culminates in the advanced parameterization of regular polyhedra.
The central focus lies in investigative interactivity, in which the student ceases to be a passive observer and becomes a manipulator of variables, understanding how algebraic functions and solid geometry commands simultaneously coordinate the aesthetic and structural integrity of forms within a coordinate system in R³. This is an invitation to uncover the invisible architecture that sustains visual balance, configuring a philosophical and mathematical transition in which the ancient Yin Yang symbol serves as a guide in exploring the laws of the geometric universe.
This conceptual synthesis is anticipated in the very cover of the work. A deep, velvety black background evokes the vastness of three-dimensional space and the concept of void that will be explored throughout the journey. Upon this absolute darkness, a regular icosahedron nested within a dodecahedron emerges in luminous wireframe structure. The outer dodecahedron glows in a subtle electric cyan-blue, while the inner icosahedron vibrates in soft magenta, establishing a chromatic tension that suggests duality and complementarity.
On the triangular faces of the icosahedron, duality transforms into matrix. Each face functions as a hollowed Platonic aperture whose contour is not circular but shaped by the precise adaptation of the Yin Yang symbol to the triangle. The “dark” portions of the symbol are true voids revealing the black background, while the “light” portions radiate a glow shifting between pure white and warm amber, creating the impression of crystallized luminous matter. An invisible light source appears to emanate from the upper left corner, passing through the hollow faces and projecting, onto the lower right plane, a fluid lattice of distorted and overlapping Yin Yang forms. This projection visually synthesizes the passage from three-dimensional volume to two-dimensional surface. In the lower left corner, a subtle sequence of four circles reveals the planar genesis of the symbol, from the simple circumference to the complete form, like original construction marks anchoring all complexity to initial simplicity. The faint suggestion of rotation in the icosahedron, indicated by translucent trails of its edges, anticipates the kinetic dimension that permeates the work.
The cover, therefore, is not a mere illustration but a symbolic condensation of the journey: the fusion between the rigid perfection of regular polyhedra and the organic fluidity of the Yin Yang, between light and void, between plane and space.
