Build a triangle I
Given: three line segments (purple, blue, green) whose lengths are fixed and known. Is it
{always, sometimes, never}
possible to build a triangle such that two of the line segments form the sides
and the third line segment is a median to one of those sides?
You can use the draggable, stretchable white segment to explore the question.
What questions could / would you put to your student based on this applet?
