The GeoGebra Global Gathering 2019 is comprised of a set of Plenary sessions on both Tuesday and Wednesday - opening, post-lunch, and closing - with targeted, high-focus parallel sessions provided by GeoGebra partners and community.
Only 2 parallel sessions are running at any given time, providing Gathering delegates with an open choice while retaining the close, whole group, collaborative atmosphere of GeoGebra Global Gatherings.
Three times each day the whole group comes together for Plenary sessions, where GeoGebra team and special guests present and discuss new and exciting developments.
All sessions are moderated by a member of the GeoGebra team, and include time for Q&A at the end of each session, with a view to promoting lively and progressive discussions on topic.
The following are the Session Format Details, in order in which they occur in the schedule, namely: length, moderation, format, and protocol.
Special Topics
- Length: 45 minutes

- Protocol: Try-before-you-buy
- Presenters are working live, and/or supporting participant working along
- Optional participant participation
- 10 minutes of session moderator mediated discussion
SoapBox
- Length: 45 minutes
- Moderated: by GGB team rep
- Format: Standing hosted tables in reception/break area
- Protocol: Open social, networking mixer
- Table hosts make themselves available to discuss, demo and share ideas
Partner Demo
- Length: 45 minutes
- Moderated: by GGB team rep
- Format: Front of room, live demo
- Protocol: Live demo + presenter context slides
- Real time demonstrations, warts and all!
Working Groups
- Length: 45 minutes

- Format: Debate and Discuss
- Protocol: Presenter leading whole group open discussion
