GeoGebra Construction:

9_2_4

Construct a triangle triangle ABC and a line l that does not pass through any of the vertices of the triangle. Determine the answer to the question: What are the possible numbers of points of intersection of l with the triangle?

Solution:

The possible number of intersection points between l and the triangle are 2, as seen in this construction the line intersects once on the AB sideline and once on the AC sideline.
