Parallelogram construction

1. Create a line AB 2. Plot point anywhere that is not collinear with A and B and rename the point to D 3. Construct line that passes through A and D 4. Using Parallel Line tool, create a line through B that is parallel to line AD 5. Using Parallel Line tool, create a line through D that is parallel to AB 6. Create a point of intersection where two lines cross 7. Hide all segments and lines. Only points A, B, C, and D should be visible 8. Using polygon tool, connect all 4 points thus creating a parallelogram

What is a diagonal?

Using segment tool, create two diagonals in your parallelogram. Then make a point of intersection E. Using distance or length tool, measure the following segments; AE, BE, CE, and DE. What do you notice?
