Bibi Khanun entrance gate inside wall - ks

On the pictures below you cannotice the versatility of a cross pattern, three timesin the Bibi Khanum and three times slightly different:
  • left: the inside wall of the entrance of the main mosque,
  • middle: inside wall of the entrance gate of the Bibi Khanum complex,
  • right: pattern on the side wall of the mosque.
Each time one text is repeated on the arms of the cross the first letter coloured dark blue. Because the texts are different the blue dash gives adds different accent to the pattern. It's just one example of the inexhaustable amout of mossibilities and choices a designer can make.
