Sundial in a hollow sphere

On top of a cylinder, a hollow sphere displays a sundial. The green circle is the horizon, including the labels north, east, south, and west. The black arc is the meridian line from the south to the projection of the zenith at the south pole to the north. The red arcs are the projections of Cancer and Capricorn. When the sun is at zenith, the shadow of the nodus marks the mounting point with the cylinder. This hollow sphere sundial can be adjusted to any latitude on the northern hemisphere up to the arctic circle. Use the latitude slider for your location. Use the declination and hour angle sliders to adjust the sun's declination and the hour angle. The hour angle slider will be black when the sun is not casting its shadow in the hollow sphere.
