1.7.2 It's Cool to be Square
Goal: Construct a square with segment AB as one of its sides.
The construction has been started for you below:
- Segment AB has been extended into a line.
- Then we created circle A, which intersects line AB at point C and D.
Now, you take over. First, construct a perpendicular line that goes through A.
Then one that goes through B, then another line that connects the two.
Now, try it on your own. Use compass and straightedge moves to construct a square with segment AB as one of the sides.
