Lesson3

Helicopter vs. Taxi
In TaxiCab geometry we have to stick to the streets. We can't drive on buildings. The shortest distance from point A to point B is always the addition of the legs of the triangles. In this triangle 3 blocks down and 5 blocks to the right, which add up to 8 blocks.
In Euclidian geometry the shortest distance between two points is always a straight line. The path of the helicopter is the shortest distance in this case which makes which makes c = 5.83 blocks.
Now that you understand a little about TaxiCab geometry lets have some fun with it.
