Exploring Function Machines

In this activity you will experience Functions as a machine. With every input the machine(the rule followed by the function) produces an output.
Play with different input and then answer the subsequent questions.
Can you make the output of all four machines the same? Describe how you did this.
Can you make the output of the left-most machine a question mark? Why do you think the machine outputs a question mark?
Can you make any other machines output a question mark? Explain.
Can the second machine from the left, the red one, output the number 10? Why or why not?
