Random Points and Polygons in Motion
This was an exercise in GeoGebra making that just got a little out of control. I wanted a set of random points, then a set of random points that wandered over the screen, then triangles on those random points, then triangles with their nearest neighbors, then polygons with their nearest neighbors...
End result: I learned a lot about the Execute Command, various list commands and did some programming. And I love watching it animate.
There are some weird art questions for me now, though. Which arrangements are pleasing and why? What's an aesthetic balance of number of points and number of sides? Better from the grid or from random to random? If you have thoughts, I'd love to hear them.
