# Dilation Station

**You can change the shape of the triangle by dragging points A,B, and C. You can change the scale of the triangle by clicking the slider on the left of the y-axis. Drag the X to change the origin of dilation. 1) What do you notice when you change the scale of the dilation? What happens to the dilated triangle (red triangle A'B'C')? 2) What do you notice when you move the origin of dilation? a) Describe what happens to the dilated triangle (red triangle A'B'C') when the origin is outside the original (blue triangle). b) Describe what happens to the dilated triangle (red triangle A'B'C')? when the origin is inside the original (blue triangle). c) Describe what happens to the dilated triangle (red triangle A'B'C')? when the origin is on a vertex of the original (blue triangle).**
