Bibi Khanum mosque - weave pattern side wall - ks

One of the many patterns o the side wall of the mosque is a weave pattern of perpendicular rectangles grouped by four with a tiny square in the middle.
In the rectangles you can read Alahu akbar (God is the greatest).
- The pattern is created by two overlapping sqares, forming the basic rectangle.
- Perpendicular to the first rectangle a second, identical rectangle is placed.
- Rotating these rectangles creates the unit repeat of the tiling.
