## Investigation 1

What can you draw with the double-edge straightedge ?

## Steps 1,2,3

draw two pairs of parallel lines that intersect eachother
copy one of the sides of the parallelogram
compare lengths
copy and complete the conjecture

## Double edge straightedge conjecture

If two parallel lines are intersected by a second pair of parallel lines that are the same distance apart as the first pair, then the parallelogram formed is a rhombus.

## Investigation 2

Do rhombus diagonals have special properties ?

## Rhombus Diagonals Conjecture

The diagonals o a rhombus are bisectors and they are perpendicular

## Rhombus Angles Conjecture

The diagonals of a rhombus bisect the angles of a rhombus

## Investigation 3

Do rectangle diagonals have special properties ?

## Rectangle Diagonals Conjecture

The diagonals of a rectangle are congruent and bisect eachother

## Square Diagonals Conjecture

The diagonals of a square are congruent perpendicular bisectors
