Comparing Lengths
Purple Line Length
[1] Practice moving the green, orange and purple line. Clicking and dragging one end of each line moves the whole line. Clicking and dragging the other end allows you to rotate the line. When you're done, move the lines near to where they were when you started.
[2] Try moving the slider. What happens to the length of the purple line?
[3] Now move the slider until you think the purple line is longer than the green line and shorter than the orange line.
[4] Find a way to show that your purple line is longer than the green line and shorter than the orange line. (You may find out you need to change the length of the purple line by moving the slider).
