Triangle DEF is created by applying the scale factor to triangle ABC.
You can adjust the points on triangle ABC as well as the Scale Factor.
Move the slider so that the scale factor is one. What do you notice?

Scale factor is determined by examining the ratio of the length of the side of the image divided by the length of the side of the preimage. Where did we see this occur in our investigation? What might we need to keep in mind when determining the scale factor?
How do you know that the triangles are always similar if the sides are proportional?
