Chi-Square Test of Independence

Slide around the purple point for the  value to see when the hypothesis is rejected and when not. You can always use the p-value to draw conclusions about any statistical test. If your p-value (the purple shaded area) is less than the significance level (, the blue shaded region) you reject. Alternatively, you can reject the null hypothesis for a  test if the static for the test is greater than the critical value. For this specific test, you can remember Anabelle's rhyme: "If chi is high, the null must die. If p is low, the null must go."
