Consider the function .
Represent the domain and range of the function on two parallel axes.
The segments joining each point of the domain and the corresponding point of the range create the envelope of an ellipse.
Use sliders distance and to change the distance between the axes and the relative position of the origins of the two axes, and explore the envelope.
